In 1914, Ernest Shackleton embarked on a remarkable British expedition to traverse Antarctica. In 1915, his fleet became trapped in the Weddell Sea. Through extraordinary perseverance, leadership, and ingenious warmth management, Shackleton led his crew to survive the extreme Antarctic conditions for 600 days, ultimately bringing every member safely home. This early 20th-century polar adventure, codenamed the Imperial Expedition, has since been hailed as "one of the great triumphs in the history of Antarctic exploration."
