Norman Walsh developed the TORNADO in the mid-to-late 1970s to meet the demands of athletes competing in major marathons and races across the globe. The shoe gained notable popularity during the 1983 London Marathon.
The TORNADO Lite is a refined evolution of the original 1970s TORNADO model, offering a lighter and more modern silhouette. This version blends heritage with contemporary minimalism. The upper is crafted from premium 210D high-density nylon combined with velour, providing a soft, delicate touch, excellent breathability, and temperature regulation, while keeping the foot stable inside the shoe. The collar is lined with high-quality pigskin, offering superior ventilation and moisture absorption. The traditional midsole construction is replaced with imported Kodabo midsole fabric, significantly reducing weight and enhancing flexibility.
It features a lightweight EVA foam midsole, hand-polished for comfort, making it ideal for everyday wear. The result is a timeless performance classic reimagined for everyday versatility and minimalist style.

The TDL features a durable yet refined upper made from 210D high-density nylon, velvet, and premium pigskin suede, combining texture and strength with a modern edge. It's grounded to the niptooth outsole with EVA cushioning in the midsole for enhanced comfort and flexibility.

We recommend that you do not put your Walsh footwear in a washing machine or tumble dryer. Instead, we suggest removing any dirt as quick as possible with a brush or cloth.
