Originally crafted by Norman Walsh for British marathoner Bolton Harries to commemorate his historic run at the 1981 New York Marathon, this hiking-inspired silhouette has evolved through four decades of refinement.
Its 600D reinforced nylon upper, laminated with thermal-regulating padding, delivers lightweight warmth without compromising breathability, while a premium pigskin-lined collar enhances sweat-wicking comfort.
Redesigned with Freudenberg midsole technology to reduce weight and improve flexibility, the shoe features a hand-finished EVA foam midsole that offers adaptive cushioning.
Combined with a durable heel counter construction, the Ensign channels marathon-proven resilience into all-day walking comfort — where heritage craftsmanship meets modern ergonomics.
