How to measure

Place your foot on top of a sheet of paper with your heel next to the wall and mark the point of the farthest most toe, then measure the distance from the wall. Repeat this procedure for the other foot and compare the measurements against our table.

The "last" is a technical term referring to the length from the heel to the longest point of the foot, usually the tip of the big toe. This measurement plays a key role in determining the shoe’s overall fit and structure.

Originally crafted by Norman Walsh for British marathoner Bolton Harries historic 1981 New York race, this hiking-inspired silhouette has evolved through four decades of refinement. The 600D reinforced nylon upper, laminated with thermal-regulating padding, delivers lightweight warmth without compromising breathability, while premium pigskin collar lining ensures sweat-wicking comfort.  
Redesigned with Freudenberg midsole technology to reduce weight and enhance flexibility, it features a hand-finished EVA foam midsole for adaptive cushioning. Paired with a durable heel counter construction, the Ensign transforms marathon-proven resilience into all-day walking comfort – where heritage craftsmanship meets modern ergonomics.
