「Fly the flag with this one（この一足で旗を掲げよう）」は、1985年のノーマンのスポーツシューズコレクションにおいて、鮮やかなユニオンジャックのカラーバリエーションを持つENSIGN（エンサイン）に添えられたフレーズです。
このモデルは1981年にニューヨークマラソンに出場するハリアーズ（長距離ランナー）向けに開発されました。多くのスポーツブランドが新しい「テクノロジー素材」や複合素材を採用する中、ノーマンは伝統的な「少ないほど良い」という理念を貫きました。
ENSIGNは、耐久性、快適さ、安定性を兼ね備え、Vibram社のMoreflexアウトソールと厚みのある中足部のウェッジでクッション性の高いかかと着地を実現しつつ、柔軟性も保っています。シンプルなアッパーは軽量素材で作られ、全方位から足をサポートします。
